Product Name
TPE Zero-degree Material
Product Description
An extremely soft thermoplastic elastomer with a hardness close to or at the 00 scale on the Shore durometer (approximately 0-5A on Shore A scale).
Key Characteristics
1. Ultra-low Hardness: Shore 00 hardness, extremely soft touch similar to silicone or gel.
2. High Transparency: Excellent light transmittance in pure form.
3. High Elasticity & Elongation: Can be stretched significantly and recovers slowly.Main Applications
Ultra-soft touch toys, simulated skin materials, medical device accessories (e.g., cushion pads, massage heads), adult products, high-comfort grips, sealing/cushioning gaskets (ultra-soft contact), ultra-soft protective cases for electronics, creative stress-relief products.
Processing Methods
Injection Molding (requires specialized mold and process), Extrusion Molding, Compression Molding.
Environmental Certifications
ROHS, REACH, FDA (optional, grade dependent), LFGB (optional), Phthalate Free.
Color
Transparent, Translucent, or custom light colors (may slightly affect transparency with colorant).
Odor
Very low or none.
Appearance
Transparent or translucent uniform pellets.
Storage Conditions
Store sealed in a cool, dry place (recommended <30°C), away from heat sources. Avoid pressure to prevent caking. Recommended shelf life: 12 months.
Packaging
25/20 kg/bag, or small vacuum packs .

Parameters & Instructions
Drying
60-70°C / 2-3 hours (Recommended to prevent bubbles)
Melt Temperature
140 - 170 °C (Strictly control, prone to degradation at high temps)
Mold Temperature
10 - 30 °C (Lower temp aids demolding)
Injection Pressure/Speed
Low to medium pressure, low-speed filling to prevent shear overheating and flash.
Runner & Gate
Design should be short and thick. Large gate size is preferred to avoid excessive flow resistance.
Cooling Time
Must be sufficiently long for proper setting.
Critical Precautions
1. Hardness Measurement: Must use a Shore Type 00 durometer. Type A durometer is invalid and meaningless for measurement.
2. Temperature Sensitivity: Extremely prone to degradation from overheating or shear heat, leading to stickiness, bubbles, and property loss. Use low-shear screws and employ low-temperature, slow-speed processing.
3. Mold & Demolding: Adequate draft angles and polished surfaces are necessary. Mold release agents may be needed. Ejection must be smooth and even to prevent distortion.Purge Suggestion
Before and after processing, thoroughly purge the barrel and screw using LDPE or very low MFI HDPE at the lowest possible temperature (e.g., 130-150°C) and low speed. Avoid using high-temperature materials (e.g., PC, ABS) for direct purging.
