Description
Product Name
TPE 70-Degree Material (Approx. Shore A 70)
Product Description
A medium-hard thermoplastic elastomer with a hardness of approximately Shore A 70, striking a good balance between the softness of an elastomer and the rigidity of an engineering plastic.
Key Characteristics
1. Higher Hardness & Rigidity: Provides good structural support and resistance to deformation.
2. Excellent Mechanical Strength: High tensile strength, tear strength, and impact resistance.
3. Good Elasticity & Resilience: Quickly recovers shape after compression.
4. Outstanding Abrasion & Fatigue Resistance: Suitable for applications with frequent friction or dynamic flexing.Main Applications
Industrial seals & gaskets, automotive parts (e.g., dust boots, bushings, wiper linkages), mechanical tool handles & grips, high-load components for sports equipment, high-wear housings/buttons for electronics, casters, conveyor rollers, high-performance sealing strips, overmolded structural parts bonded to rigid plastics (ABS, PC, PA).
Processing Methods
Injection Molding (primary), Extrusion Molding, Blow Molding.
Environmental Certifications
ROHS, REACH, PAHS, Phthalate Free. Grades meeting specific requirements like UL or FDA are available.
Color
Black, white, and various standard colors. Strong tinting strength and color stability. Custom colors available.
Odor
Very low or no noticeable odor.
Appearance
Uniform cylindrical pellets.
Storage Conditions
Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place. Avoid direct sunlight and high temperatures. Recommended shelf life: 12 months.
Packaging
25 kg/bag.

Critical Precautions
1. Mold & Process: Due to higher hardness, sufficient injection and holding pressure are required to ensure complete filling and avoid sink marks. Mold design should account for slightly higher shrinkage than typical rigid plastics (typical range: 1.8%-3.5%).
3. Abrasion & Oil Resistance: Standard grades have good abrasion resistance. For use in oily or extremely abrasive environments, choose oil-resistant or ultra-wear-resistant modified grades.
3. Balance of Elasticity & Rigidity: This is an elastomer. While relatively rigid, it differs from hard plastics. Its elastic deformation range should be considered in design.Purge Suggestion
After processing or before material change, thorough purging with PP or HDPE is recommended. When switching from a higher-temperature material, first reduce the barrel temperature to this material's processing range before purging to prevent residue carbonization.
